About IP Global Guard

IP Global Guard is the specialist intellectual property service line of META Channel Corporation, an Irish-incorporated regulatory and legal advisory group. All services are provided by META Channel Corporation Limited. We act for businesses whose intangible assets cross borders — companies expanding from Latin America into Europe, European businesses entering Latin American and African markets, and corporate groups with multi-jurisdictional intellectual and industrial property portfolios.

How we work

One team coordinates the entire matter

Our model is built on a single principle: one team coordinates the entire matter. The client speaks to a single point of contact.

Representation before each office and registry is provided directly where our professionals are entitled to act, and otherwise through selected agents and correspondent counsel within the firm’s network, under our coordination and under the IP Global Guard name.

For matters before EUIPO, the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (OEPM) and the systems administered by WIPO, we act directly where our professionals are entitled to act and otherwise through qualified representatives. For national offices in Latin America, Africa and other jurisdictions, we coordinate qualified local counsel.

What sets us apart

Three things distinguish us from traditional IP boutiques

Geographic focus, an integrated practice and the infrastructure of a wider regulatory group.

01

Geographic focus

Most European IP firms concentrate on the European market with occasional outbound work. We are built around the Europe — Latin America — Africa corridor. This is not a marketing line: our operational structure, our network of correspondents and our working languages are designed for that corridor.

02

Integrated practice

We treat industrial property and intellectual property as one discipline. Trademarks, patents and designs sit alongside copyright, software, and the new categories of digital and AI-assisted assets. The client who needs to protect a brand, a software product and a creative work does not need three firms.

03

Group infrastructure

IP Global Guard operates within META Channel Corporation, a regulatory and legal advisory group covering the broader European regulatory framework — AI Act, MiCA, GDPR, DORA, NIS2 and adjacent matters. When an intellectual property matter touches data protection, AI regulation, financial regulation or corporate structuring, the relevant expertise sits within the same group.

Intellectual property that moves across borders

One team, one strategy and a single coordinated point of contact across Europe, Latin America and Africa.

Our position

Where we compete, and where we do not

We do not compete on legacy or on heavy patent prosecution. We compete on cross-border architecture, on speed of response and on the quality of a single coordinated point of contact for clients whose intellectual property is genuinely international.

Not our ground

We are not a 90-year-old firm with hundreds of in-house engineers. For mass-scale pharmaceutical patent litigation, there are established firms with decades of specialised practice.

Built for this

For intellectual property work that needs to move between Europe, Latin America and Africa with one point of contact and one strategy, IP Global Guard is built for that.

Within META Channel Corporation

Part of a wider regulatory and legal advisory group

IP Global Guard is the intellectual property service line of META Channel Corporation, an Irish-incorporated regulatory and legal advisory group. The group covers the broader European regulatory framework:

AI Act MiCA GDPR DORA NIS2

For matters that combine intellectual property with adjacent regulatory questions — for example, training-data rights for AI models under the AI Act, intellectual property structuring within cross-border corporate transactions, or copyright enforcement involving cross-border data flows under the GDPR — clients work with both practices under coordinated counsel.

For matters outside intellectual property entirely, clients are directed to META Channel Corporation.
